Give Unified so they can Play Unified

DECEMBER 1, 2015

Team sports are about having fun, promoting physical health and bringing people together. Unified Sports teams do all of that – and shatter stereotypes about disabilities in the process.

Highline’s Unified Soccer Team celebrating their win in the championship game vs. Seattle Central College

The confidence and leadership skills that the students acquired was priceless. I watched this group go from shy and reserved to a fully functioning team with one goal in mind. After spending very little time together, the group clicked. There was no division, no restrictions, or pity. It was just Highline students unified under one group.
